Job Title: Support Care Specialist

We are seeking a Support Care Specialist to provide high-quality support to individuals with physical disabilities.

About the Role

This is a casual opportunity to join our team as a Support Care Specialist. The role involves delivering care in a specialist disability accommodation environment under supported independent living supports.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care, including assistance with mobility, hoist transfers, mealtime assistance, showering and peri-wash.
  • Administer and support health care routines as directed by the care plan and allied health professionals recommendations.
  • Implement manual handling and safe work practices in all support activities.
  • Facilitate safe participation in community activities and appointments.
  • Accurately complete shift documentation and incident reports as required.
Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in high physical support, including manual handling and the use of assistive equipment such as hoists.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Current Manual Handling training (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).

  • Ability to work autonomously and follow care plans accurately.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Detail oriented in report writing, such as shift notes and incident reports.
  • Capacity to manage time and prioritise tasks effectively.
