
Participation Development Specialist

**About the Role:**
">The Participation Officer will be responsible for devising and delivering AFL programs, including Auskick clinics, school promotions, and alternative programs like AFL9's and Junior X.
">This role is based in the Colac Region, where you will work to drive participation outcomes with a focus on fun and friendly environments.
">**Key Accountabilities:**
">- ">
- Liaise with teachers and schools to schedule clinics within high-priority schools or those with low penetration rates.">
- Support the delivery of Community Auskick Centres by conducting regular check-ins and follow-ups with volunteer coordinators.">
- Deliver and promote multicultural, indigenous, and all-ability programs that provide opportunities for diverse demographics to participate in an inclusive environment.">
- Assist with executing and delivering AFL player visits and community engagement activities within immediate or neighboring regions.">
- Plan and deliver targeted promotional activities, such as Footy 4 Fun transition and retention programs.">
- Assist with the delivery of AFL9's and Junior X competitions, performing duties like umpiring, match management, and communicating with participants.">
- Build strong relationships with AFL Victoria staff, Auskick coordinators, schools ambassadors, AFL clubs, community groups, and leagues.">
- Assist in delivering the NAB AFL Auskick program, focusing on quality and participation growth by conducting regular check-ins with Auskick centres and monitoring progress.">
- Support the delivery of school programs aimed at increasing participation in NAB AFL Auskick and community football.">
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

- Ability to multitask and work on various programs simultaneously.">
- Demonstrated personal initiative and ability to work effectively unsupervised and in a team environment.">
- Well-developed verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.">
- Confidence and ability to deliver engaging and positive outcomes with AFL programs.">
- Current Victorian driver's license with access to a motor vehicle.">
- Satisfactory employee 'Working with Children' check.">
- First aid certificate or willingness to obtain one.">
