Teaching and Development Role

This is an exciting opportunity to support the development of nursing staff across all levels of experience, from novice through to advanced.

  • You will play a vital role in supporting safe and effective patient-centred care within our Critical Care Unit by delivering teaching and evidence-based learning to staff.
  • The successful candidate will provide education and guidance to new nursing staff, ensuring they complete orientation programs and core clinical competencies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching to optimise patient outcomes.
  • Ensure new staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Assess clinical competencies and support staff development where practice needs are identified.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice within the clinical setting.
Requirements

We seek an experienced registered nurse with a postgraduate qualification relevant to the position.

  • Essential qualifications include a current practising certificate, demonstrated knowledge of current nursing issues, and experience in Cardiothoracic ICU nursing.
  • A minimum of five years post-graduate experience in area of clinical practice is required.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
