Mirvac's vision is to reimagine urban life, and as a Project Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in shaping Australia's urban landscape.
The role is based in the CBD and involves managing and coordinating projects efficiently to exceed project parameters for time, cost, customer satisfaction, quality, and HSE.
You'll work on a $600mil premium grade office tower with a project completion in 2027 and be responsible for:
- Overall coordination and tasks associated with development of overall planning and programming.
- Providing instruction and guidance where applicable.
- Preparing and monitoring overall short and mid-range design construction and procurement programmes and schedules.
- Developing and managing production-planning schedules to allocated disciplines.
- Establishing and monitoring the procurement program.
- Construction team interface with design team on programming and procurement issues.
- Ensuring coordination of all programs and reviewing same.
- Managing, implementing, and monitoring programming control procedures.
- Managing and monitoring quality assurance procedures.
- Establishing on-site controls and recording procedures for delays.
- Supervising and monitoring subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the project is delivered in accordance with the project documentation, HSE, and quality requirements.
- Having a strong understanding of the company's systems and controls and implementing in day-to-day operations.
- Subcontract management and subcontract administration, including assistance in preparation of monthly final forecast cost estimates (FFCs) for trade packages, review of major variations, and monthly trade FFCs with the project team.
- Assisting in procurement of subcontractors and suppliers within disciplines by reviewing tender designs, preparing scope and technical documentation, preparing subcontractor tender lists, managing the tender process, vetting and recommending tenders, and engaging subcontractors.
- Implementing and maintaining production controls relevant to the disciplines to ensure project works comply with program, HSE, and quality requirements and constraints.
- Understanding and assisting in monitoring the project HSE plan, environmental management plan, and traffic management plan.
- Implementing Mirvac standard processes and site disciplines to fully understand procurement, design, and delivery processes.
To be successful, you'll need a minimum of 3-5 years' site/project engineering experience, a relevant degree in construction/engineering/project, and the ability to read and understand project documentation, including plans and specifications, as well as civil engineering and landscape delivery fundamentals.
