Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as an Immunisation Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering vaccines and conducting immunisation clinics in accordance with Vaxworks Health Services protocols and relevant state/territory requirements.
The role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will also have a thorough knowledge of immunisation procedures and practices, as well as sound planning and organisational skills.
- Administer vaccines and conduct immunisation clinics in accordance with Vaxworks Health Services protocols and relevant state/territory requirements.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records.
- Provide efficient and effective communication with clients and staff.
- Deal with clients, suppliers, and other employees professionally at all times.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Immunisation accreditation (as approved by the relevant State/Territory Health Department).
- Current driver's licence and car.
- A minimum of one year's nursing experience, preferably in a community-based role.
- Demonstrated experience in the administration of vaccines to adults.
- Sound knowledge of communicable diseases, occupational immunisation programs, and immunisation practice in workplace and school settings.
