Early Intervention Opportunities
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at KU Children's Services. As an early intervention specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the developmental needs of children aged birth to 7 years.
About the Role
This is a flexible part-time position, with working hours negotiable. You will be required to work independently as well as within a team, providing support to families and other professionals. Your exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, will enable you to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- To establish and maintain respectful relationships with a range of stakeholders, including families, educators, and other professionals.
- To administer and score a range of assessments, reporting findings and providing feedback to families.
- To provide therapeutic interventions and support to children with additional needs, in a variety of settings, including clinic, community access, and telehealth.
- To work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement individualized plans for children, aligning with their NDIS goals.
Requirements
- Australian recognised tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
- Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Experience in establishing and maintaining respectful relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience in supporting the developmental needs of children.
- Experience in administering and scoring a range of assessments.
- Exceptional communication skills, written and oral.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Meticulous time management and organisation skills.
- Current drivers' license and use of a comprehensively insured, registered motor vehicle.
- Senior First Aid Certificate.
- Working with children Check.
- NDIS Worker Check or willing to obtain.

- A competitive salary package, estimated to be around $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
