The Project Construction Manager oversees the construction and maintenance of facilities at various sites, including job site document control, project planning, safety, cost control, and scheduling activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct project construction planning, safety, cost control, and scheduling activities.
  • Interpret drawings and implement specifications for job site queries.
  • Resolve job site technical issues encountered during execution of construction projects.
  • Formulate and enforce operational and construction standards that support company objectives, contractual requirements, and comply with regulatory and environmental standards.
  • Hire, train, and lead a competent workforce to be versatile and technically savvy.
  • Maintain close watch on contractual obligations and stay informed of any regulatory changes that impact facility operations.
  • Coordinate activities to align with overarching contract requirements and ensure smooth site operations.
  • Provide technical support to site operations, guaranteeing continuity of critical infrastructure operations, with a commitment to reliability for around-the-clock mission support.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse teams, respond to questions, and solve a range of operational issues.
Requirements

Successful candidates will possess:

  • Active TS/SCI with adjudicated CI polygraph or Host Nation TS/PV clearance.
  • Degree in Project Management, Civil, Construction, or Architecture from an accredited university, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum seven years of experience with construction/facility projects of similar scope, size, and complexity.
  • Minimum five years of experience as a Senior/Chief Project Manager responsible for supervising project managers, engineers, and sub-contractors.
  • Professional certification/registration.
  • Demonstrated experience working in 24x7x365 operational environments requiring close coordination with mission operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in timely proposal preparation and cost estimation.
  • Ability to read construction design and equipment drawings.
  • Knowledge of process improvement models (e.g. LEAN/Six Sigma, ISO 9000).
  • Experience in operations management, construction/renovation projects.
  • Experience planning and implementing large-scale facility and logistics projects.
  • Experience integrating project schedules.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience in the use of project management concepts to manage items including, but not limited to project schedule, scope, cost, risk, and deliverables and related metrics.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience with excellent organizational and leadership capabilities.
  • Knowledge of U.S. government exercise or crisis management communities and experience planning, coordinating, and executing support to special events.
  • Desirable: Experience working in remote locations.
