Director of Early Childhood Education Opportunity at YMCA Brisbane

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Early Childhood Education to join our team at YMCA Brisbane. This is a fantastic opportunity for an innovative and passionate educator to lead our education program and contribute to the development of our children.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our education program, promoting children's well-being, development, and learning. They will work closely with our team to create a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports the unique needs of each child.

This is a full-time position based in Eight Mile Plains, Queensland, and offers a competitive salary package including a base salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, we offer career coaching and professional development opportunities to support your growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of the education program, ensuring alignment with the YMCA Brisbane's philosophy and policies.
  • Collaborate with our team to design and deliver high-quality educational programs that promote children's learning and development.
  • Mentor and support educators to enhance their skills and knowledge, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with parents, staff, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, maintaining the highest level of quality and safety in our service.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent qualification.
  • Significant experience in early childhood education, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of the approved learning framework and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • A strong commitment to providing high-quality education and care, with a focus on promoting children's well-being, development, and learning.
