Job Description

Ballina Shire Council is a popular tourism destination on the Far North Coast of New South Wales.

  • Seeking a qualified mechanical fitter to join our Water and Wastewater team.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team to support the repair and maintenance of treatment plants, water and wastewater systems, and other plant and machinery.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for an energetic individual with relevant trade qualifications and experience in maintenance and repair of various plant and machinery.

  • Relevant trade qualification as a mechanical fitter.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in maintenance and repair of diverse equipment.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems and pumps.
  • Knowledge of plant operation capabilities and associated maintenance requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Digital literacy with experience using computer applications.
