**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
**Position**:
We are looking for a safety conscious, dedicated and appropriately experienced and qualified individual to join Council's water and wastewater treatment plants team. Reporting to the Supervisor Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants, this position is responsible for operating and maintaining Council’s water, wastewater and recycled water treatment plant facilities. A key objective of the role will be to train and mentor trainees and to work constructively with the team to ensure goals and objectives are achieved.

- Certificate III in Water Industry Treatment or equivalent OR, if wishing to be considered for traineeship level, willingness to complete qualification under a traineeship arrangement.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of water and wastewater treatment operations including adherence to regulatory, health, environmental and safety requirement OR, if wishing to be considered for traineeship level, capacity, commitment and willingness to develop such knowledge under a traineeship arrangement.
- Demonstrated experience in the supervision and training of staff OR, if wishing to be considered for traineeship level, willingness and ability to supervise and train other staff once appropriately qualified and skilled.

**The rewards**
- For a qualified and experience operator, an annual salary range of $63,900 to $73,300 (plus 11.5% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications. For a trainee level, an annual commencement salary of $55,800 (plus 11.5% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and progression through the traineeship qualification.
