Product Support Specialist

The Product Support and Logistics team at Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy & Fertilisers is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused professional to join our team.

This role involves providing technical expertise for the safe handling and delivery of sodium cyanide around the world. The successful candidate will work with gold mining customers, audit facilities, and coordinate supply chains.

As part of this team, you will have the opportunity to travel internationally and within Australia while balancing your work and personal commitments. On-the-job product training and support are provided, and prior knowledge or experience with Sodium Cyanide is not required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritise safety in all practices.
  • Manage customer relationships and provide technical expertise for sodium cyanide related queries.
  • Respond to issues associated with customers and transporters, coordinating investigations to improve processes.
  • Manage transport contractors and their operational performance.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Evaluate and implement strategies to optimise business performance.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in science and/or engineering - desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations and logistics requirements.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships.
  • Demonstrable technical experience in an operational environment or sales support role.
