We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated Ecologist to join our team in a key role that combines ecological knowledge with attention to detail and project coordination skills. Fieldwork is a crucial part of the job, typically involving a few days at a time, all hours paid including travel.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ecology, excellent communication and project management skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues. They will also have a deep understanding of QLD, NSW, and Commonwealth ecological legislation and associated reporting/survey requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate projects and people to deliver high-quality results
  • Conduct fieldwork and collect data using GIS proficiency for data processing and map preparation
  • Write professional reports using Microsoft Word/Excel skills
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and regulators

Requirements include:

  • Degree in ecology, environmental science, conservation planning or similar
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an ecological role
  • Minimum 2 years' project management experience
