At Transhipment Services, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Operations Coordinator to join our team at our Container Park Operations in West Melbourne.

This role involves ensuring accurate and timely data entry, coordinating with drivers and yard workers, processing paperwork, and performing other tasks necessary to support the daily operations of the Logistics site. You will work closely with the Container Control, Rail, and Maintenance and Repair teams, as well as collaborate with other operations functions in the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify import pre-booking details provided by shipping lines and customers using Container Chain & 1-Stop, ensuring all data is correct.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of pending bookings to ensure EDI receipt for export bookings from shipping lines.
  • Support general administrative duties, such as responding to telephone and email inquiries.
  • Ensure accurate recording and maintenance of container movement data.
  • Stay informed about redirections and changes in opening hours, communicating effectively with customers to coordinate efficient yard and traffic flow.
  • Fulfill duties and procedures in accordance with Australian Government DAWR regarding import fumigation and tailgate inspection units.
  • Manage container inventory and maintenance and repair.
  • Provide assistance and support to other team members and departments as needed.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a data entry/administration role, preferably in a Logistics business.
  • Knowledge of Container Park layouts is advantageous but not essential.
  • High-level organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven customer service skills and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and be flexible with time and adapt to conflicting priorities.
