Catering Assistant

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals to residents in aged care facilities.

  • Assist chefs in food preparation and meal service.
  • Ensure adherence to HACCP standards to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform kitchen duties and tasks as required.
  • Support nurses in resident care by assisting with meal service and cleaning tasks.
  • Keep kitchen equipment, utensils, and service areas clean and well-maintained.

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrate ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in catering or food preparation is highly desirable.
  • Current Working with Children/Vulnerable People Check is mandatory.
  • Strong time management skills are essential for this role.
  • Flu vaccination and appropriate vaccinations for Aged Care and Health Care are required.
  • Flexible availability is necessary due to the varied shift arrangements.
