About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Advisor to join our team at Sulzer Australia Pty Ltd. As a key member of our Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety (QESH) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective safety systems and procedures to prevent injuries and illnesses.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating hazards.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with operational supervisors and managers to foster a safety-focused culture.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant statutory, legislative, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, and processes.
Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Safety or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a safety role, preferably in an industrial workshop or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel interstate up to 50% of the time.
