Aboriginal Child Protection Specialist

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families in need.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual who is passionate about working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. As an Aboriginal Child Protection Specialist, you will be responsible for providing sensitive and respectful support to families, while also collaborating with other agencies to address complex social issues.

  • You will work closely with parents, family members, and children to help them overcome challenges and develop safe and loving homes.
  • Your expertise will be crucial in formulating goals that align with the needs of families, addressing safety and well-being concerns, and providing appropriate assistance through home visits.
  • You will develop safety plans and complete risk assessments, while managing cases and situations involving high-needs and high-risk clients and their families.
  • Additionally, you will participate in individual and group supervision to ensure best practice and continuous improvement.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A relevant diploma or degree qualification preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A valid driver's licence.
  • Paid working with children clearance number.
