A leading Insolvency and Restructuring firm is seeking an experienced Restructuring Accountant to join their team in Brisbane. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the business recovery unit, providing accurate reporting, and assisting in stakeholder communication.
The ideal candidate will have advanced-level accounting skills, experience in restructuring and insolvency accounting, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day issues on formal restructuring engagements, including trade-on management, receipts, and payments, and assist in stakeholder communication both written and verbal
- Assist in advisory, informal engagements, including independent business reviews and informal turnaround assignments.
- Compiling information, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations
- Building and developing relationships with clients including promoting the business restructuring offering
- Ensuring all working papers are accurate and the file is maintained in an appropriate manner
- Ensuring investigations are completed and any identified contraventions are reported on a timely basis
The following qualifications and skills are essential for this role:
- Work experience in a similar role from 2-4 years
- Degree-qualified in the relevant area
- CA or CPA qualification
- Ability to work as a team and independently as required
- Strong communication with clients and team members to ensure strong relationships
- High attention to detail due to the sensitive nature of the work
