Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated educator to fill the position of Associate Teaching Fellow. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of pathway courses.
About the Role:
- To design, develop and deliver curriculum in collaboration with educational design specialists and other teaching staff.
- Deliver specified components of courses including conducting classes, tutorials, workshops, consultations and evaluation of student work.
- Assist with matters related to student academic welfare and implement support activities.
- Maintain a commitment to improving teaching and learning within the University College environment.
- Contribute to outreach activities with the wider community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Design and Delivery: Work collaboratively with educational design specialists to create engaging and effective curriculum that meets the needs of diverse learners.
- Teaching Excellence: Deliver high-quality teaching that supports student success and fosters a positive learning environment.
- Student Support: Provide guidance and support to students to help them navigate academic challenges and achieve their goals.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in education.
- Community Engagement: Collaborate with external partners to develop and deliver programs that benefit the wider community.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in teaching or equivalent with relevant literacy and numeracy specialisation experience.
- Demonstrated experience in learning and teaching with a focus on delivering high-quality and contemporary curricula.
- Ability to cater for diverse and non-traditional learners.
- Proven capacity to work effectively in a complex and changing work environment.
