Job Opportunity:
  The Royal Hobart Hospital is seeking a skilled medical professional to join their team as a Staff Specialist in the field of Pathology/Haematology. This exciting role offers a challenging and rewarding career path with opportunities for growth and development.

  Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in diagnostic review meetings and academic activities.
  • Provide consultation services in General Haematology, Transfusion, and other subspecialties of Haematology.
  • Represent the specialty on hospital committees and provide consultation services for management of haemophilia and coagulation disorders in Tasmania.
  • Teach undergraduate students at the University of Tasmania School of Medicine and supervise postgraduate specialist trainees.

  Requirements:
  To be considered for this position, applicants must hold specialist registration or be a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who is on the specialist pathway, or have a recognised overseas specialist qualification and sufficient experience in the speciality. A pre-employment check will also be conducted prior to appointment.
