Royal Prince Alfred Hospital is seeking an experienced haematology nurse to join their transplant and cellular therapies team. This is a great opportunity for a skilled professional to provide expert clinical advice and advanced care coordination to patients and their carers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating care management plans for patients with complex health needs. They will also contribute to the development of clinical practice and participate in strategic planning for the clinical service.

About the Role

This role requires a highly motivated and organised individual with strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in haematology and be able to work independently as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement care management plans for patients with complex health needs
  • Provide expert clinical advice and advanced care coordination to patients and their carers
  • Contribute to the development of clinical practice and participate in strategic planning for the clinical service
  • Lead the ongoing development of clinical practice and initiate research findings into the provision of clinical services
  • Participate in formal processes for strategic and operational planning for the clinical service

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • CURRENT nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
  • 5 years of full-time equivalent post-registration experience, with at least 3 years in the specialty field
  • Experience in haematology
  • Holds approved postgraduate qualifications relevant to the specialty or other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate
  • Ability to work a Monday to Friday roster
