Haematology Nursing Role

The Haematology Nursing Role involves providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based practice and making a positive impact on the lives of patients and their families.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments of patients.
  • Identify and implement discharge-planning requirements.
  • Plan appropriate care in consultation with the patient and multidisciplinary team.
  • Prioritise and implement planned care to achieve outcomes of established priorities.
  • Evaluate patient progress and revise nursing interventions as required.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Cancer Services Nursing.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, efficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand.
  • Chemotherapy competence and IV cannulation (IVC) competence.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
