Staff Specialist in Neurology

Overview

  • The role is based within the Department of Neurology, providing expert medical care to patients with neurological disorders.

Position Classification: Staff Specialist. The successful applicant will contribute to the development of high-quality care for patients and participate in research and education activities.

Responsibilities include working constructively and effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Applicants must also have the ability to work collaboratively with others, lead and supervise medical trainees and residents, and demonstrate a commitment to quality improvement methodologies.

This position requires strong clinical skills and experience in headache management, with obligations to both Gosford Hospital and Wyong Hospital.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Staff Specialist (State) Award.

Applicants should be a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and/or other specialist recognition as provided for in the Staff Specialist (State) Award.

Relevant criminal record checks will be undertaken on recommended applicants. Employment is subject to having current immunity status that complies with the Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases.

Candidates must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of medical knowledge.
