Water Network Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to utilise your knowledge of water and sewer networks in our Water Operations Centre. We are currently seeking a new Systems Controller who can contribute to the operation of our local community's water and sewer system.

About The Role
  • You will be responsible for monitoring system availability, configuration and performance of the Water and Sewer systems in real time, proactively controlling systems operations to minimise the impact of system failures.
  • You will also be responsible for prioritising and triaging work orders for the dispatch of work crews, and providing technical expertise and advice to field staff as required.
What You Need
  • A Certificate IV qualification in Engineering or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in water and/or sewage network management within water and sewer disciplines or experience in a similar role.
  • A current Class C Drivers Licence.
  • Experience and understanding of the operational management of a distrusted network of assets.
  • Experience and understanding of water, wastewater and networks.
  • The ability to effectively utilise information technology, including computerised control & monitoring systems (e.g. SCADA) and geographical information systems.
Additional Information
  • This position involves 24/7 shift work roster with 12 hour shifts to promote work life balance.
  • Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
