The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join the Rehabilitation in the Home team.
The team provides home-based rehabilitation services to patients, mirroring an inpatient service setting but with the added benefit of the client being in their own home environment.
As a Senior Occupational Therapist / Occupational Therapist - RITH, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the transition of patients from hospital to their homes, empowering them to regain independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments to identify individual needs and goals.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address functional limitations and promote independence.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Provide education and training to patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, equipment use, and home modifications.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation.
To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
Exceptional communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous professional development are essential in this role.
Current clinical experience working as an Occupational Therapist in an adult rehabilitation setting, or experience working with neurological, orthopaedic, or amputee clients, is not essential but desirable and would be highly regarded.
