Job Title: Piping and Layout Discipline Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee the piping/layout discipline for a phase 2 brownfield project, ensuring quality and integrity in detail design deliverables.

About this role:

  • Lead the piping/layout discipline team for the phase 2 brownfield project.
  • Collaborate with engineering managers to ensure timely mobilization of key engineers for piping/layout activities.
  • Interface with internal authorities, operations engineering, and external stakeholders to secure support for project activities and deliverables.
  • Define and manage engineering requirements for mechanical and piping/layout quality deliverables during execution.
  • Participate in technical workshops and reviews, including HAZID, HAZOP, and 3D model integration.
  • Represent the company in engagements with third-party consultants and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with schedule requirements for assigned work.
  • Facilitate close-out of engineering documents at the end of the project phase.

About you:

  • Tertiary mechanical engineering degree required.
  • Extensive oil and gas industry experience, background in topsides piping, layout discipline engineering, and brownfield projects highly regarded.
  • Experience in FEED and detailed design delivery, preferably worked in an engineering design office.
  • Good knowledge of ASME, API, and ISO codes and standards for piping, valves, and static equipment.
  • Knowledge of pipe stress analysis and AIV/FIV mitigations.
  • Experience with topside piping fabrication and installation mandatory.
  • Familiar with good engineering practices and processes for seeking technical deviations and exemptions.
  • Team leader experience, ability to supervise and guide an integrated project team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
