Industrial Appeals Judge

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Judicial Officer to join our team as an Industrial Appeals Judge. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring that justice is served and that the rights of all parties are protected.
Key Responsibilities- Preside over conferences and hearings to resolve appeals related to industrial insurance, safety citations, and employer premiums.
- Make written decisions based on evidence presented and applicable laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of industrial insurance law, rules of evidence, and procedural issues.
- Communicate effectively with parties, witnesses, and other stakeholders to ensure a fair and efficient process.
- Work collaboratively with other judges, staff, and external partners to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Active or judicial membership in the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney, with a strong background in industrial insurance law.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret laws and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
