Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a talented Retail Marketing Specialist to join our team in Sydney.

About the Role:

  • This is an exciting opportunity to support local research and operational setup efforts for a Japanese jewelry brand expanding across Asia.
  • You will conduct market research on the Australian jewelry industry, including trends, competitors, price points, etc.
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating focus group interviews, identify potential locations for pop-up stores or retail outlets, and research and support lease negotiations.
  • Compile and contact local vendors and shopping malls; coordinate communications.
  • Participate in regular online meetings with the Japan headquarters and submit reports.
  • Provide on-the-ground support as needed (event support, launch preparations, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough market research to provide valuable insights to the business.
  2. Coordinate logistics for focus group interviews and ensure timely execution.
  3. Identify suitable locations for pop-up stores or retail outlets that align with the company's goals.
  4. Negotiate lease terms that meet the company's requirements.
  5. Build strong relationships with local vendors and shopping malls to facilitate communication.
  6. Regularly update the Japan headquarters on progress and submit detailed reports.
  7. Provide flexible support as needed to ensure successful event planning and execution.

Requirements:

  • Australian permanent resident or citizen.
  • Currently residing in Sydney.
  • Work experience in the jewelry or fashion industry.
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, and verbal communication).
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with the Japan team (Japanese language ability not required).
