About the Opportunity

Mipac is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our optimisation team based in Brisbane. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to delivering holistic solutions that create value for our clients in the mining and mineral processing space.

You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to apply fit-for-purpose automation, control, and digital solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging with customers to understand their operational problems and opportunities.
  • Developing integrated solutions that span all layers of the automation pyramid.
  • Collaborating with designers, instrumentation and control system engineers, and production system specialists to design, specify, deploy, and sustain advanced process control solutions.
  • Providing remote and onsite troubleshooting and technical support.
  • Remaining at the forefront of process control technology and innovation.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a degree in Metallurgy, Process, or Chemical Engineering, with exposure to process control. You should have demonstrated experience in a metallurgical environment with process control, metallurgical accounting, and production reporting. International and consulting experience across various operations and commodities is preferred.

You should have excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills, with strong client-facing rapport. Ability to balance competing priorities and business drivers across the operational value chain is essential.
