Forklift Driver Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team in Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate counterbalance and high reach forklifts safely and efficiently
  • Unload/load trucks, perform visual inspections, and maintain a clean work environment
  • Assist with bin washing, diced and shredded inspection, and unloading plate freezers
  • Palletize products and maintain a safe working area

Requirements:

  • Valid forklift licence
  • Knowledge of pet food processing industry (desirable)
  • Detailed knowledge of products and processes in direct areas
  • Ability to work in a team environment and follow OH&S and Environmental systems

Working Hours:

  • Morning shift starting as early as 5:00-7:00am
  • Afternoon can vary between 1:00-3:30pm
  • Three-day week roster with potential for on-call shifts

As a Forklift Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the production of raw materials is fit for consumption by pets. You will be responsible for operating counterbalance and high reach forklifts safely and efficiently, unloading/loading trucks, performing visual inspections, and maintaining a clean work environment. Additionally, you will assist with bin washing, diced and shredded inspection, and unloading plate freezers, as well as palletizing products and maintaining a safe working area.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a valid forklift licence, knowledge of the pet food processing industry, and detailed knowledge of products and processes in direct areas. You must also be able to work in a team environment and follow OH&S and Environmental systems. The working hours for this role may include morning shifts starting as early as 5:00-7:00am, afternoons that can vary between 1:00-3:30pm, and three-day week rosters with potential for on-call shifts.
