We are seeking a skilled Senior Quality Control Specialist to join our team in Brisbane, Australia.

About the Role:

This is a 1-year fixed-term position within our QC Team, supporting the growth of Thermo Fisher Scientific's Biological business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, corporate quality standards, and local standard operating procedures.
  • Support the practical application of the quality system, including change control, deviations, CAPA, OOS, and OOT.
  • Perform quality document scanning and archiving.
  • Update SOPs, work instructions, and test records as needed.
  • Utilize the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) accurately and timely throughout the sample lifecycle.
  • Perform aseptic aliquoting of bulk samples.
  • Participate in laboratory housekeeping and coordinate with the internal supply chain department.
  • Conduct routine and non-routine sampling of WFI & UPW systems.
  • Manage chemical waste storage and disposal.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Science (Biotechnology or similar), or equivalent experience.
  • Good understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
