The MDS RN Manager oversees the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, ensuring accurate and timely documentation. This leader fosters a positive work environment and motivates employees to deliver exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities:- Operations Management
- Validate reports for accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Plan assessment and care plan information to optimize resident and patient care.
- Complete computer data entry and electronic submission process for MDS transmission.
- Manage Medicare logs to maximize reimbursement.
- Oversee skilled resident and patient statuses for accurate classification.
- Quality, Compliance, and Risk Management
- Ensure timely MDS and Plan of Care documentation.
- Review and provide education on MDS and Plan of Care documentation.
- Maintain schedule of MDS and Plan of Care due dates.
- Administration and Reporting
- Maximize reimbursement through team planning and assessments.
- Assist with reviewing quality measures and survey findings.
- People Management and Development
- Supervise MDS Nurses and foster a positive work environment.
- Evaluate job performance and provide developmental guidance.
