The OpportunityCarey Baptist College Forrestdale, a private coeducational Christian school with open enrollment, is seeking a dynamic leader for the key role of Head of Department (HOD) – Health, Outdoor, and Physical Education (HOPE). This is an ongoing, full-time position.
Our campus, nestled within beautiful bushland, offers a unique environment that enhances student learning through an innovative approach to education.
Key Responsibilities- Guide and manage the curriculum for Health, Outdoor, and Physical Education across Years 7 to 12.
- Oversee curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation to meet diverse student needs.
- Lead health and physical education programs, including extracurricular activities that promote student well-being and fitness.
- Mentor and support staff within the Health and Physical Education department.
- Promote professional development and encourage innovative teaching practices.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Effective pedagogy, and a passion for health and physical education.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and the community to promote a vibrant culture of health and wellness at the College.
