About the Role
The Product Manager for Retail Operations will oversee market interactions between Solstice Energy and various entities, ensuring compliance with market regulations and the efficient management of customer accounts. This role serves as a vital link between the customer service and billing teams and market providers.
Key Responsibilities
The Product Manager will engage with external stakeholders and manage daily operational tasks critical to achieving Solstice Energy's objectives. The role emphasizes a customer-centric approach in all activities.
Operational Duties
- Address market-related inquiries and manage customer-specific service requests.
- Understand the interaction requirements between Solstice Energy and key vendors to facilitate smooth operations within the Australian Energy Market.
- Provide guidance to the Retail team on market interactions and AEMO transactions.
- Collaborate with the IT department to plan and manage system upgrades and address key system issues.
- Ensure compliance with all operational tasks.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Coordinate workflow with the Head of Customer Service & Operations to meet service delivery expectations.
- Act as an external interface for the team when a cohesive approach is necessary.
- Initiate and implement quality improvements to team processes.
- Support and motivate team members effectively.
Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of three years' experience in a role focused on the technical aspects of the Australian Electricity Market.
- Familiarity with MSATS and energy market interactions is preferred.
- Ability to adopt a solution-oriented approach to technical challenges and integrate solutions into regular operations.
- Adaptability to work efficiently in diverse environments.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational abilities.
- Capability to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively to meet deadlines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Proven ability to excel in a customer service-focused environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Capacity to thrive both independently and collaboratively in challenging situations.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Educational Background
- A tertiary qualification in information technology is highly regarded.
- Knowledge of the Australian Electricity and Gas Markets and their supporting platforms is essential.
