About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Concrete Remediation Specialist to join our team at Randstad. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for a variety of duties, including high pressure hydro demolition and surface preparation, gunite spraying, industrial blasting and painting, manual laboring tasks, and operation of hand and power tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • High Pressure Hydro Demolition & Surface Preparation: Utilize high-pressure water jetting equipment to safely and effectively remove concrete and other materials.
  • Gunite, or Similar, Spraying: Apply gunite or similar materials to create a smooth and durable surface.
  • Industrial Blasting & Painting: Conduct industrial blasting and painting operations to restore and protect surfaces.
  • Manual Laboring Tasks: Perform manual laboring tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
  • Operation of Hand and Power Tools: Safely operate hand and power tools, including drills, saws, and sanders.
  • General Construction and Assisting Tradesmen: Assist tradesmen in day-to-day construction duties, including carpentry, electrical work, and plumbing.
Requirements
  • Hydro Blasting Experience: Possess experience with high-pressure water jetting equipment and hold relevant certifications, such as MSMSS00017 and MSMSS00018.
  • Gunite or Similar Spraying Experience: Have experience with gunite or similar spraying operations.
  • Remediation Experience: Possess experience in remediation projects, including high-pressure hydro demolition and surface preparation.
  • White Card: Hold a valid White Card and be able to work safely in a construction environment.
  • Current Drivers Licence and Reliable Transport: Possess a current drivers licence and reliable transportation to and from work sites.
  • Physically Strong and Able to Work Around Water: Be physically strong and able to work in environments where water is present.
  • Highly Motivated and Strong Work Ethic in Team Dynamics: Possess a strong work ethic and be highly motivated to work effectively in a team environment.
