Job Overview:

The Food Services Team Leader plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless delivery of front-of-house operations within the food services department.

Key responsibilities include managing meal preparation, portioning, and serving hot and cold meals, as well as dishwashing, assembly, distribution, and collection of meal trays to customers.

Additionally, this role involves providing support and instruction with meal ordering systems by assisting customers in placing orders and assessing their capabilities in using digital ordering systems.

Furthermore, the Team Leader will be responsible for coordinating department training, staff rostering, food safety, and customer feedback initiatives.

Close collaboration with the main production kitchen is essential to maintain a robust food safety program, collect microbiological samples, conduct meal testing, and ensure temperature parameters meet specifications for a superior customer experience.

Desirable qualifications include prior experience in healthcare room service dining, and relevant certifications such as the Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and entry-level food safety for the Health & Community sector - HLTFSE001.
