Executive Branch Manager, Statutory Assessments Lead

As a key member of the Australian Capital Territory's executive team, the Executive Branch Manager, Statutory Assessments will play a critical role in leading the Development Assessment Branch. This team is responsible for regulatory and delegated statutory assessment decision-making functions of the Territory Planning Authority.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Executive Group Manager and ACT Chief Planner, Statutory Planning. They will provide strategic leadership and support in driving the wider Statutory Planning Division forward.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional judgement, risk engagement, and the ability to quickly grasp complex concepts. They will also have a determined focus on finding innovative solutions for the Canberra community.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the Development Assessment Branch to achieve strategic objectives
- Providing executive leadership and guidance to the team
- Building and maintaining strategic relationships with key stakeholders
- Leading and delivering large-scale projects within set timeframes
- Developing and implementing change management strategies
The remuneration package for this role ranges from $265,492 to $276,106, depending on the current superannuation arrangements of the successful applicant. The position attracts a cash component of $235,867.
The successful applicant will be engaged under a performance-based long-term contract for a period of up to five years. This contract will be tabled in the ACT Legislative Assembly.
