About the Role

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test and Evaluation Supervisor to join our Underground Technology Global Integration Testing Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of test plans, managing new product integration, and leading a team of test engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute test plans for on-machine evaluation of software releases and new features
  • Manage new product integration on machines and new system deployments to the proving ground
  • Lead a team of test engineers in executing test cases, including operation of underground mining machines, autonomy systems, and technology under test
  • Identify and analyze software and system issues on machines, assign corrective action tasks, and develop emergency containment actions
  • Support subsystem teams in developing interim and permanent containment actions for issues
  • Document, track, and manage issues in Azure Dev Ops
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects, including planning of capital expense needs for proving grounds
  • Support installation and evaluation of on and off-machine hardware systems
  • Interface with the Validation Team Lead to plan testing schedules and communicate software release plans
  • Support Commercial Teams in customer engagement events and Training Teams for dealer and customer training programs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering or Computer Science curriculum
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
  • Experience working with heavy machinery and datalink analysis
  • Team leadership skills, including team building
