Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Case Manager to join our team.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with clients, families, and communities to provide culturally appropriate and safe support. This includes conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing safety and support plans, and coordinating wrap-around support services.

The role requires strong communication, assessment, and case planning skills, as well as a deep understanding of the needs and experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop, implement, and review safety and support plans that address both strengths and areas of risk using a cultural safe lens.
  • Coordinate a culturally safe pathway in wrap-around support by working closely with government departments, schools, health services, and community agencies.
  • Support clients and their families to have needs met in a culturally appropriate manner.
  • Inform and contribute to the development of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural practice within the team.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, human services, or a related field, or equivalent lived experience.
  • Experience working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and other diverse groups.
  • Knowledge of issues affecting Aboriginal communities, families, and children.
  • Strong understanding of problematic and harmful sexual behaviours (PHSB) in children and young people, including associated risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting children, young people, and families, particularly in child protection or similar settings.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and case planning skills, with a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach.
