About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Learning Specialist: Learning Design and Data to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned educator with expertise in teaching and learning practice, data literacy, and pedagogical leadership. They will have a proven track record of driving excellence in teaching and learning, and will be able to facilitate school-based professional learning to enhance teacher skill, knowledge, and effectiveness.

The successful candidate will demonstrate high-level expertise in teaching and learning practice, provide a child-safe environment, and model exemplary classroom practice through teaching demonstration lessons. They will also lead and model the implementation of whole-school improvement strategies related to curriculum planning and delivery, and play a key role in providing professional learning, including developing processes and protocols for observation and feedback of teacher practice and peer collaboration.

In this role, you will support colleagues to deepen their data literacy skills, assist them in measuring the impact of their pedagogical practices on student learning, and support the Leadership Team to use data to drive school improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate high-level expertise in teaching and learning practice, and provide guidance and support to colleagues to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance teacher skill, knowledge, and effectiveness, and facilitate school-based professional learning to achieve these goals.
  • Lead and model the implementation of whole-school improvement strategies related to curriculum planning and delivery, and work closely with the Leadership Team to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted solutions.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to teachers to improve their pedagogical practice, and support them in developing their own professional learning plans.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree or higher in Education or a related field.
  • Proven experience in teaching and learning practice, data literacy, and pedagogical leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.
  • A strong understanding of curriculum design and delivery, and the ability to develop and implement effective strategies to enhance teacher skill, knowledge, and effectiveness.
