Key Responsibilities:- Provide administrative support to the City Planning and Development Team, including coordination of planning and building related matters.
- Offer advice and information on planning and development matters to customers and the community.
- Manage and coordinate correspondence and information for the City Planning and Development Team.
- Coordinate the preparation of development consents and associated documentation.
- Update and maintain Council's Authority Database relevant to the Applications Management module.
- Maintain a sound understanding of Albury's Local Environment Plan (LEP) and Development Control Plan (DCP) and the legislative framework supporting Building & Planning.
- Perform other tasks or duties as directed by the Supervisor, which are within the limits of the employee's skill, competence and training.
- Certificate in Office Administration or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a customer service and administrative role.
- Specialist knowledge and understanding of computer systems, including the Microsoft Office software package, administration support office functions, and planning principles and guidelines.
This position is based in a predominantly indoor environment and requires an average level of aerobic and physical fitness to undertake occasional physical activities, including manual handling tasks as part of a normal working environment.
The position is subject to alcohol and other drug testing.
