About the Role

The Finance Branch's Non-ICT Contractor Support (NICS) team supports the Department in undertaking non-ICT labour hire procurement activities.

NICS provides expert guidance to ensure non-ICT labour hire procurements align with legislative requirements and policy framework.

Reporting to the Assistant Director, this position will provide specialist advice to Business Areas seeking to engage contractors and will provide guidance to embed best practice within the department.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and accurate support and advice to all areas within the department on non-ICT contractor engagement related matters, in accordance with relevant legislation.
  • Embedding procurement excellence through the provision of training and maintenance of the team's intranet presence, including procurement artefacts, tools, webinars, and templates.
  • Engage with key internal and external stakeholders, including labour hire firms.
  • Review and/or draft procurement related documentation including spending proposals, request for quotes, contracts, and deeds of variation.
  • Manage work orders, extension requests to work orders and purchase orders for the engagement of non-ICT contractors.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the department to support the delivery of joined-up corporate services.
