Procurement Specialist for Defence ICT Operations

The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team in Defence ICT operations. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing procurement activities related to inventory management, shipping, and delivery. You will work closely with warehousing staff, OEM suppliers, and Defence supply-support facilities to ensure seamless operations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage codification, cataloguing, and disposal of Defence ICT assets.
- Assist in six-month reconciliations with Configuration Items within the Configuration Management Database.
- Develop and maintain accurate asset inventory levels, including records in TAMIT and MILIS.
- Conduct surface maintenance, electrical integrity testing, and tagging of physical assets.
- Update Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and relevant Asset Management systems, providing reporting and certificates for securely disposed items.
- Ensure items meet power, weight, heat, and size requirements, as well as Land Material Safety Manual, Defence Seaworthiness, and ICT Technical Regulation standards.
- Coordinate warehousing and transportation of goods with OEM suppliers or existing Defence supply-support facilities and distribution services.
- Support transportation of Defence ICT equipment between military operation and exercise areas, including ships/platforms.
Requirements:
- Defence-recognised Supply Chain Management qualifications and experience with Supply Chain Management tools and technology.
- Excellent organisation, time management, and accuracy when multitasking across multiple activities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels, including internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to engage internal and external stakeholders, building trusting, respectful, and resilient professional relationships.
- NV1 Security clearance (with ability to upgrade to NV2 if required).
