We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Culinary Team Member to join our dynamic culinary team.
About the RoleThis key position involves ensuring seamless kitchen operations and maintaining high-quality food standards.
You will work closely with the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef to maintain efficient day-to-day operations.
As a valued member of the team, you will have opportunities for career growth within a renowned international hospitality company.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes for restaurants and functions.
Additionally, they will organize and set up assigned kitchen sections effectively and efficiently.
Maintaining adequate inventory levels is crucial for smooth kitchen operations.
Ensuring a clean and hygienic work environment is also essential.
The successful candidate will support Head Chef, Sous Chef, and the kitchen brigade in maintaining culinary standards according to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications- Previous experience as a Commis Chef in a large hotel or restaurant.
- Relevant qualifications/certificates in Cookery (Certificate III or equivalent), HACCP & local Food Safety Handling & Hygiene.
- Ability to work productively and safely at all times, focusing on quality control.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work on rotating rosters, including weekends and public holidays.
- Able to create a positive first impression, understanding the importance of 5-star grooming standards.
