About the Role:

The Case Manager position is situated within the Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) Unit of the Counter Terrorism Command. Reporting to a Sergeant, you will be responsible for coordinating CVE intervention through a holistic approach to ensure that the needs of clients are met, and that the safety of the Victorian community is maintained.

The CVE Unit aims to reduce the risk of individuals becoming or remaining violent extremists and to address the social impacts of violent extremism by undertaking key activities such as establishing a coordinated intervention structure, building the resilience of communities, supporting diversion of individuals at risk, rehabilitating and reintegrating violent extremists, enhancing the capacity of Government and non-Government agencies, and coordinating intervention strategies with external stakeholders.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate service delivery of tailored intervention plans with internal and external stakeholders,
  • Provide high-level customer service, attending enquiries from various stakeholders,
  • Prepare reports of high standard, including progress reports, case notes, and briefing notes,
  • Develop and deliver intervention options using contemporary research techniques and methodologies,
  • Maintain management of work unit portfolios, such as Community Support Group engagement,
  • Participate in regular group peer supervision.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior case management experience
  • A relevant qualification
  • Ability to develop proactive intervention plans based on complex needs and work effectively autonomously and within a dynamic team environment

  • Three full-time, fixed-term positions available until 30 June 2027
  • This role is located at Victoria Police Centre
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting
