Job Summary:
KBR Inc. is seeking an experienced Principal Process Engineer to join our Engineering team in Adelaide. As a key member of our team, you will lead process engineering activities on projects, ensuring compliance with Australian standards, and driving innovation in our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead process engineering design and analysis for projects across water, defence, and energy sectors.
- Develop and implement process simulations and models to optimize plant performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met within specified timelines and budgets.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed projects.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and project teams.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards and regulations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in process engineering within water/defence projects.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian standards and regulations pertaining to process engineering, process safety knowledge is highly regarded.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and project management experience.
- Current Baseline Clearance or the ability to obtain Defence clearance required.
