About the Role

The Southern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a highly skilled Senior Speech Pathologist to join their team in the Speech Pathology Department of the Division of Rehabilitation, Aged and Palliative Care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor less experienced staff and students, and undertake teaching activities within an interdisciplinary model of student learning.
  • Facilitate positive outcomes for patients by implementing appropriate treatment programs, evaluating their effectiveness, and adjusting or discontinuing treatment as necessary.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of research projects within the department, as directed and as the caseload allows.
Requirements
  • An appropriate degree or equivalent qualification that gives eligibility for full membership of the Speech Pathology Association of Australia.
  • Extensive experience working with adult patients with swallowing and communication disorders resulting from medical, surgical, or neurological conditions.
  • Experience in the training and supervision of staff or students, as well as collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data, and making appropriate recommendations.
