Job Opportunity

A proactive and hands-on Facilities Officer is sought to support the effective operation, safety, and presentation of campus facilities.

This is a varied role combining maintenance support, contractor coordination, compliance checks, and day-to-day campus operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake routine maintenance and minor works to keep facilities safe and presentable.
  • Respond to help desk requests and provide excellent customer service.
  • Coordinate and monitor contractors to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Support safety and compliance activities, including visual inspections and incident response.
  • Assist with fleet oversight, including vehicle checks and servicing coordination.
  • Maintain accurate records for keys, security access, compliance tasks, and contractor activities.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in facilities, trades, maintenance, or campus operations.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating contractors and resolving maintenance issues.
  • A relevant trade qualification or certificate in facilities management, building maintenance, WHS, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with digital facilities systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to plan and prioritise tasks in a busy environment.
  • Practical capability for basic maintenance tasks and manual handling.
