Release Manager Position

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a skilled Release Manager to oversee the planning and execution of enterprise-wide software releases.

Key Responsibilities:

Release Governance & Coordination
  • Develop and manage integrated release calendars for enterprise systems and program deployments.
  • Coordinate release activities across business units, technical teams, and project delivery groups.
  • Lead release planning forums, make go/no-go decisions, and conduct deployment readiness assessments.
Process and Documentation Excellence
  • Review and enhance release and deployment processes in line with industry best practices.
  • Create and maintain accurate release documentation (procedures, templates, runbooks, decision logs).
  • Promote automated, auditable release practices that meet regulatory requirements.
Strategic Program Oversight
  • Provide guidance on releases within large ICT programs.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and readiness requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior program/project managers to identify dependencies, risks, and impacts.
  • Facilitate governance forums to enforce release policies.
Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership
  • Advise senior stakeholders on release risks, impacts, and mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate complex technical/scheduling matters to business leaders.
  • Coach project teams on release management expectations and best practices.
