Yard Hand Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Yard Hand to fill this key role in our dynamic operations team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Carrying out delivery and installation work on-site with a high level of efficiency and safety.
  2. Assisting with the repair and maintenance of portable buildings, ensuring they are returned to customers in pristine condition.
  3. Carrying out repairs & maintenance on all other hire stock, including toilet amenities and temporary fencing, to ensure it remains in good working order.
  4. Cleaning and preparing Portable buildings for delivery to meet the highest standards.
  5. Ensuring the general maintenance and presentation of the yard is of a high standard at all times.
  6. Organizing parts and equipment for delivery to meet customer needs.

Essential Requirements:

  • A valid Construction industry White card
  • An MR Truck Licence or above (Highly Desirable)
  • A Forklift licence (desirable)
  • Working at heights (desirable)
  • Previous experience as a labourer or trade assistant
  • Hands-on experience working with a range of tools
  • A strong commitment to workplace safety
  • A high attention to detail
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to getting the job done
  • A valid Driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
