Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Role

We are seeking a skilled trade-qualified and experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our dedicated maintenance team in Mudgee.

This full-time role is critical to the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of our diverse fleet including trucks, floats, trailers, light vehicles, and earthmoving equipment that support major infrastructure and civil construction projects across New South Wales.

As our Heavy Vehicle Mechanic you'll deliver high-quality servicing, diagnostics, and repairs minimizing downtime and ensuring we stay on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair various types of heavy vehicles and equipment.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and suppliers to maintain fleet efficiency and availability.
  • Support roadworthy inspections and complete service documentation accurately.
  • Undertake both workshop-based and site servicing.
  • Promote WHS compliance and contribute to safety-focused meetings.
  • Diagnose faults perform repairs and ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years' post-trade experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
  • A background in civil mining transport or agricultural environments.
  • A Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
  • A current Driver's Licence - (HR or HC desirable).
  • A White Card.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Strong fault-finding and repair capability across drivetrains hydraulics and suspension.
  • High attention to detail and ownership over quality and safety.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Physical fitness and willingness to work flexible hours.
